Marco Hemmerling’s Cityscape is an urban kaleidoscope the architect built in Cologne, Germany. Cityscape is a light installation that reflects fragmented views on the city and creates a 3D image of the surrounding facades.
The final shape relates to the site of the Cityscope and reacts to the height of the surroundings.
When opening his new prêt-à-porter Tokyo shop, Neil Barrett decided to go for Zaha Hadid Architects for the shop’s design. As these images show, his decision couldn’t be better: the two blocks of white corrian give a beautiful flow and dynamic line supporting the shop’s theme.
Surface Architects team made a great job with Birkbeck’s University of London film department. Their project won the Riba 2008 Award. Just take a look at all those colours and angles the team played with…
Eggs, Jell-O, cookware, poker chips and dices, biscuits or circuit boards, these are just few examples of objects used by artists like Liu Jianhua, Liz Hickok, Zhan Wang , Song Dong, Gayle Chong Kwan, Jacob Dahlgren, Enoki Chu and many others to create amazing cityscapes. Delicious!
